I was changing the light bulb in the garage door opener. I noticed a bunch of debris. I walked around to the other side, and noticed it was a ton. I got on a chair and low and behold, we had a bird nest on top of the opener. I wanted to make sure there were no eggs inside, so I climbed on the car to take this picture. Luckily there were no eggs, so I felt no obligation to keep the garage door opened for the bird who made the nest.
After I found the nest, I noticed a bird who was patiently waiting out of the garage. I went inside and then went out another door. The bird had been waiting for me to leave. I got a few pictures of the nest builder, just waiting to add some more twigs.

We ended up carefully moving the nest last night. We tried not to touch it....in case the rumor that touching it keeps the birds away. We have put the nest in a high location. However, I think the bird has given up on it and left for different nesting ground.
