Race and Parade

The day started with me waking the girls up early. This is how I found Nora. And, yes, those are spider man sheets. She picked them out herself!

We headed over to the race with signs and cameras in hand. Although it was early, both girls were so excited to see daddy running in the race.
They both cheered very loudly.

He finished the 5K with a time of 25:31 which is a wonderful time for a first timer! He was 11th place in his division of 21 people... but, he was 95th place in the whole race which was roughly 450 people. So, in my opinion, he did very well!

The girls kept asking me if Daddy was going to win. I just said
"Yes, Daddy IS going to win."

After an hour of trying to find a parking spot, we finally all got together for the parade. As you can see, Lily was not thrilled to be at the parade.

Here is Nora seeing us for the first time. She was thrilled to be waving an smiling at hundreds of people who were waving and smiling back. She loves attention.

At the first sight of us, she didn't care that her parents were watching, or that her grandma came. She saw her sister Emma and yelled very loudly while pointing, "That's my sister!" The picture below is of her pointing at Emma.
Emma loved all the candy being thrown and continued to make sure that next time there is a parade, she wants to be in it.
